5Great deck of cards.  Feb 18, 2010 By romevi
As someone who has played with various decks of cards from Kem to Copag to Bicycle, I wasn't sure what to expect from Cartamundi's line of Casino Royale playing cards. Needless to say, this is a great deck and a satisfying purchase.

The previous deck of cards I purchased from Cartamundi (and my only one before) was a Star Wars themed deck. I liked the design of the cards, by their quality felt cheap. Assuming all Cartamundi's stock was the same, and having already placed an order for this, I became hesitant. (I ordered this one and the red deck.)
However, the stock of the cards more closely resembles Bicycle's air-cushion finish. The Star Wars one felt more like cheap paper, but this had better durability, and shuffled easily.

I recommend this deck not only to Bond enthusiasts, but to any frequent card player. The tacky 007 isn't plastered on the box as one might believe, but it's an actual playing card that comes off when the plastic wrap is removed. The cards themselves greatly assume the look from the film, and are free of any sort of advertisements--other than the label Casino Royale.
