Description

The eagerly awaited tarot deck from artist Luis Royo, who also created the Black Tarot, draws the reader into a sublime fantasy landscape. Unlike Royo's first tarot, which features illustrations drawn from his existing body of work, the Labyrinth Tarot was conceived from the beginning as a tarot. The boxed deck includes 78 cards in full color and an instruction booklet in English, Spanish and German.

2Nice, but......  Aug 05, 2008 By C. Franklin
If you're a serious student of the Tarot then Royo's symbolism and indexing of the astrological tie-ins of the various cards can be of some benefit. However I found the card size (bridge card size) and consequent image size reduction to be major negatives in trying to use the deck. You better have a magnifying glass to get the relevance of the images. Unless you're pretty well versed in the Minor Arcana, the complete lack of imagery on the 2 through 10 in each suit will be a major hindrance. The imagery on all the cards is in the same sepia tones as the cover image. If you use the color theme of the image as a referent then this deck is not for you.

2It's ok...  Dec 16, 2009 By Laughing Crow "LC"
This deck was alright. I bought it as a gift for someone who was a Lois Royo fan. She was disappointed- the artwork is pretty monotone (mostly a yellow-gold color scheme), with a few bits of bright color here and there. He does well with symbols and motifs and maintains standard suits. The cards are more slender than average, not as wide as most decks I own. The cardstock quality is iffy, and not sure how well it will hold up to shuffling. I was disappointed with the deck overall, but for a Lois Royo fan I suppose it was fine.

4Gorgeous cards!  Jun 11, 2009 By David M. Cochran
Not so much a toy, of course, but a wonderful deck of tarot. Every bit as durable as any deck of playing cards out there and full of completely new Luis Royo artwork. Whether you like the tarot or love Royo's work, this deck is a must.

5Awesome  Jan 06, 2011 By Fenery
I heartily recommend these cards, but then again I am a royo fan as well as an amateur tarot reader.
